I wish…
…I was still Lissy. I wish She™ hadn’t started calling Alyssa “Liss” and “Lissy” and “Lissa” which were ALL my nicknames. I don’t think Alyssa is to blame. In fact, I know she isn’t the one to blame here.
I know by switching my name to Missy I dodged many years of ridicule and being made fun of because of my name, still, I get made fun of because of my name, by girls who have boys’ names, and girls who have names that are just made up on the spot.
I still wish, though, that I was called Lissy, because I’ve always liked that name WAY more. 
This isn’t a very long blog entry, I’m just stating that I wish my name was Lissy still. :-/

And yes, I remember refusing to speak to someone because they called me Lissy.

Missy Martin is very cool coming off the tongue though. It sounds neat.
Lissy is a bit young for you now, don’t you think? Although Liss or Lissa would be more adult. But then you’re confused with Alyssa. Maybe when you’re older still, you can, with your friends, go for Liss. By that time though, good luck on any of your family calling you that. Missy is drilled into our heads! Remember how upset you used to get when people would slip and still call you Lissy? LOL
