About Me
Hello. My name is Missy. Here’s my name in Gaelic, and here’s my name in Japanese Katakana. I am an Irish Dancer with a blue belt in To-Shin Do and I’m in the 10th grade.

This is a picture of me in my old performance/competition wig and my old pink and black solo dress. The headband was to my performance costume from my old dance school, I usually have a tiara with a fabric insert thing that matches my solo, but I didn’t have it on when this photo was taken. My Mom made me a new solo dress in October of 2008 — and I have switched dance schools too, in January of 2009! — and I have not yet gotten a photo taken in that dress. It’s yellow with butterflies on it and I love it! Yellow is my favorite color and butterflies are one of my favorite things. I also have a new wig, it has a little bit looser curl and it is not just a flat color like this one, it has variations in it just like my real hair does so it really looks like my own hair, just very curly!
We are working on another new solo dress, my Mom is getting the fabrics and stuff together. It will be a gorgeous dark dark purply-blue fabric that has the neatest glittery “twilight” design worked into it. It’s really hard to explain, but once it’s done I’ll post a picture of it and you can be amazed!
I am homeschooled by my Mom and I love dancing, blogging, to-shin do, dancing, computers, dancing, reading, to-shin do, dancing, anime, dancing. I also like lemurs, foxes, to-shin do, hokkaido inus, basenjis, bettas, butterflies, dragonflies, gerbils, hamsters, mice and rats. And Happy Bunny! Oh and dancing. And to-shin do.
I am very interested in politics and in what is going on in our world today. I like to keep up with all the current news and stuff like that. I also love reading. I am hoping to graduate early and then take a few years to work before I start college. I want to have some kind of a career in dancing and someday own my own studio. Because you only have a limited window for dancing as a career, I figure college can wait a while. When I go to college I will probably go after a degree in business. I also intend to make To-Shin Do a lifelong discipline, and I would love to eventually work at least part time at the Quest Center.
I have three older sisters (they are all three married and two of them have kids). I did have a brother too but he died when he was just a baby from SIDS. Here in our house it is just me and my Mom and my Dad. In our “zoo” we have three dogs (two basenjis and one basenji-hokkaido mix), a bunch of hamsters, a bunch of gerbils, a mouse, and two rabbits (which actually belong to my sister Amy, but for now they stay here and I help take care of them).
Welcome to my corner of the world wide web!
