I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than
that, this is wonderful blog. An excellent read.
I will definitely be back.

I hate canvassers and salespeople! They are the worst, and give a bad wrap for some honest companies as well as some not-so-honest companies.

You should check out Direct Window Installers, they do not use canvassers or salespeople which mean lower costs and less nightmares like you listed above!

Thank you!

OH MY GOD! These assholes actually came to my house two days ago!

They gave me the same lines: I am not here to sell you anything, if you let us put a yard sign up we'll give you half off, and the windows will pay for themselves within 10 years "money back guarantee" if they don't!

They told me that my neighbor across the street bought their windows but that's my sister and her husband and they didn't!!

I googled this company and it seems that douchebaggery is quite common for them. Here are some complaints I found about how crappy their services are.

<b>Fraud!

Be cautious of their energy savings pledge with their window sales pitch. Complete lie. They don't tell you there is a $500 cap on what they will pay you until you call to make a claim. Spoke with the owner Tim Whitener. He said "go ahead and call your attorney if you want, I will see you in court", then he hung up on me.

<b>Don't Bother

From the start they were a problem. Refused to honor the contract signed by their salesman. We filed a complaint with BBB and state attorney general's office. Were not happy with arrangements but settled without suing them. Service is okay, but takes 2 or 3 phone calls to get an answer about repairs. Product itself is not as well constructed as the replacement windows we had installed in our previous house.

<b>We are having an issue over 23 windows, these were installed by City Sash, Cincinnati, OH. We have tried several times to discuss with City Sash and they basically told us they would see us in court.

We were solicited for window installation due to our location in our development. We were promised a 33% decrease in our energy bills guaranteed. It was not mentioned there was a cap on the amount of the guarantee. For the first 6 months we had the windows, they owe us $640 per my calculations. And, this of course is ongoing. Projected over 2 years, that would be $2,560. Technically, for the expected life of the windows, or at least 10 years $12,800. The only reason we purchased this was due to the promise on the savings, which would pay for themselves in a little over 10 years as said by their salesman CJ.

We held up our promise, we had the City Sash sales sign in our front lawn for 1 month. We even added them to our association phone book as recommended by homeowner, this of course was prior to realizing the increase in costs we have incurred since the installation of the windows. We contacted the owner, who in response basically stated any verbal promises made by their salesman were not a guarantee. It is very disappointing they commented on how the salesman was new. I commented he was a representation of their company and if he was not trained why would they send him out making promises which were untrue.

The owner called today Tim W and told us he has known the salesman CJ for years and he did not believe us. Told us he would see us in court with his lawyer. Excellent customer service is obviously not his priority. We have terms of 12 months same as cash. We would like to warn other consumers about misrepresentation of this company.
