Full-blown H1N1 — Missy & I have swine flu
Saw the doctor at 2:30 this afternoon and by 4:30 we were picking up our prescriptions for Azithromycin for the secondary infections (sinuses in my case, ears for Missy). Because neither of us was running a fever at the time, we were able to get flu shots to protect us from any other types of flu nailing us while we’re down.
That was after I endured Missy and the doctor trading puns — (Missy) aporkalypse … (Dr. Green) oinkment — but the bad news for Missy is she’s off dance and To-Shin Do for the rest of the week, she can return to classes next week. She wasn’t too happy with that one! We’re both on the standard rest and lots of fluids.
I just hope my mother-in-law didn’t get it while she was here visiting. And that it didn’t make its way to Indiana and infect anybody in the family there. I’d hate to be responsible for someone else being sick. I *almost* went to see Dad on Thursday night because I needed to talk to him about something, but Missy was starting to feel crappy already so I just called instead. I am so freaking glad I didn’t go over there and possibly infect him too. Unfortunately, Amanda, Tim and Caleb were over here Wednesday before either of us knew anything was going on, so I’m praying none of them got it.
Derwood started getting a cough last night, so we now get to play the wait and see game with him.
The board of elections says I can’t get an absentee ballot (too late) and I can’t stand the thought of possibly infecting someone, so I guess I’m sitting this election out. I hope the school board levy goes down in roaring flames.

Well crapola. Sorry to hear that.
Look on the bright side though. Maybe Porkzilla™ will get it. After all, I somehow doubt Porkzilla™ practices good hygiene. Besides, Porkzilla™ IS about 92.7% swine anyow.

Swine flu, eh? Well, that’s what you get for eating pork products.

So early in the morning, while I was asleep like a normal person, Brandi posted on my blog. Please go to my blog and help me out here. Oh yeah…. *virtual hit on the head with a frying pan*

I gave her a good thrashing. Let me know if she does it again.

What is this – swine flu on top of regular flu? Ouch!
