An early contender in the race for this year’s title
An as yet unnamed south Florida man is in jail today, charged with aggravated child battery. His three-month old son is in the hospital with five fractured ribs.
Authorities say that the man, his girlfriend and the baby, were sleeping on their bed on Monday, when the baby started crying.
Authorities say the man told detectives he rolled over and punched the infant twice on the stomach with a closed fist. Authorities say that later he picked up the child to give him his bottle and slapped him across the mouth because he still would not stop crying.
Hopefully someone in jail with the jerk will serve up a little justice. God knows he won’t get what he deserves from the courts.

Technically, she killed her 5 week old in ’09, but she’s on trial in ’10. She killed her 5 week old infant to hide the fact that the boys dad was 14, and she’s 27. So, she smashed in the head of her baby, tossed him in a trashcan, then called 911 and said the dad had come to get the boy, and never came back.
